A) Residential Fee Based Items
EFFECTIVE - FEBRUARY 18, 2021 Per order of the "New Boston Board of Selectmen"
These are items that may be dropped off at the Transfer Station for a fee, which is collected to cover the cost of disposal of those items. Residential fee based items may be paid for by check OR cash, a receipt will be generated for ALL transactions.
EFFECTIVE - JUNE 8, 2021 Transfer Station Revolving Fund instituted by Town Vote. Fee based items collected at the Transfer Station are no longer tax supported. This fund will cover costs incurred for the disposal of ALL fee based items. There will be a minimum charge applied to cover operational costs. Fees will be adjusted to cover any market changes related to handling or disposal of these items.
EFFECTIVE- JUNE 27,2022 Fee adjustments. There is a need to adjust fees due to higher fuel costs and electronic item categories.
Construction/Demolition Debris - Anything that comes from the dismantling of any part of a house/structure, such as; treated wood (any wood or wood scraps that are painted, stained or glued), pressure treated wood, windows, roofing materials, insulation, metal reinforced concrete, ceramics, mixed unsorted materials, carpet, carpet padding, over-sized tarps and furniture.
Unacceptable items; Asbestos material, lead-based painted items or any item that is or contains hazardous material. Federal handling and disposal laws apply. Costs incurred for the cleanup and disposal of any unacceptable material brought to the facility under false pretenses will be the responsibility of the offender.
