New Boston Select Board Announces Promotion of Stephen Case to Police Chief

NEW BOSTON, NH — The New Boston Select Board is proud to announce the promotion of Lieutenant Stephen Case to the rank of New Boston Police Chief.
Chief Case has been a dedicated member of the New Boston Police Department for over a decade, originally joining the force on June 1, 2013. During his tenure, he has steadily risen through the ranks while proudly and dutifully serving the community. He achieved the rank of Senior Patrolman in 2016, was promoted to Sergeant in 2018, and reached the rank of Lieutenant in early 2024.
Throughout his years of service, Chief Case has worn many hats within the department, serving in vital roles such as Prosecutor, Field Training Officer, Taser Instructor, D.A.R.E. Officer, and Mountain Bike Officer.
Beyond his law enforcement duties, Chief Case is widely recognized in the community for his active involvement in charity and outreach programs. His efforts have been instrumental in the annual CHaD Battle of the Badges events, which raise funds for the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth (CHaD), as well as The Heroes Cup Baseball games to benefit the Special Olympics New Hampshire (SONH).
“Chief Case is highly deserving of this promotion,” the Select Board stated in a joint release. “We are excited and thankful that he will continue to serve our community with the honor and distinction he has exhibited over the years.”
