Proposed Broadband in New Boston Update
The Broadband grant (BMGI-Broadband Matching Grant Initiative) https://www.nheconomy.com/office-of-broadband-initiatives/bmgi was awarded to Comcast but right now the state is going through the challenge process where other Internet Service Providers have an opportunity to challenge addresses that were provided to the state. Once that process is complete, Comcast will begin the contracts with the state. We are hopeful that the challenge process will be wrapped up soon. Once they move forward, Comcast will be able to connect the unserved and underserved on the attached list of proposed locations. The proposed list has 22 New Boston addresses. There will be another round of grants that we hope to include the remaining addresses on our compiled list.
