The Old Engine House

Built after the Fire of 1887, the Old Engine House was New Boston's firehouse for almost a century. It subsequently served as the Town Clerk's office and the Historical Society museum, and it is now the home of the Recreation Department. Learn more about the Old Engine House's History HERE

As well as housing the recreation department, the building hosts our ZENgevity classes, Senior Cards, and Bingo, and is used as a conference room for some town department meetings.

Our normal business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, but keep in mind that we do have activities, events, and programs that take us away from the office during normal hours. We offer Notary Public and Justice of the Peace services for free. Please call (603) 487-2880, to make sure we are in the office. We have a secure drop box next to the door for payments when we are not in the office.
