Rail Trail Decorating

Friends of the New Boston Rail Trail adorn the Rail Trail at their leisure the weekend of December 3rd and 4th, 2022.

This is our 6th annual Christmas holiday walk that brings joy to our Rail Trail. If you want to take part in this tradition...it's never too late. Bring non-breakable and tinsel free ornaments that will adorn the trail until the Sunday before Valentine's Day...

Our 4-mile New Boston Rail Trail was completed Mid October 2021...The trail now has 1/4 mile markers, resting benches and kiosk, and, don't forget the picnic table on Phase I...

There are no more tripping tree roots or puddles to dodge...it's a great, level grade trail, safe for all pedestrian recreational activities for walking and biking...also a great trail for children and adults who haven't ridden a bike in a while. The Rail Trail is also a great place to exercise after surgery or recovering from injury...Walk, run, bike, snowshoe, Xcountry ski, push a stroller, fish, walk leashed dogs (please scoot any poop off  the trail...please do not leave bags on the trail.) 

For Christmas I am asking Santa (all who do use the New Boston Rail Trail) to gift the trail $25.00 per family member ...think of it as a Christmas gift and gift of appreciation for this newly added gem in New Boston.
