Halloween Trunk-or-Treat ~ Creepy Cafe ~Trick-or-Treat
We had such a good time last Halloween that we are doing it again. The New Boston Recreation will offer:
Trunk-or Treat in the Town Hall parking lot
Creepy Café (Town Hall Concession Shed) for hot dogs and drinks (for purchase) Trick-or-Treating at the Old Engine House (NB Recreation Office)
We will not have any activities at the school, just lots of fun in the village. Scarecrow winners will also be announced at the Old Engine House at 6:00 pm.
More New Boston residents will have the opportunity to participate in the town’s Traditional Trick-or-Treat fun. New Boston residents will be able to register for a limited number of parking spots in the Town Hall parking lot so they can park and decorate their vehicle for incoming Trick-or-Treaters. They are encouraged to dress in costume as well and then hand out treats to Trick-or-Treaters. Since the New Boston village is the central location for most Trick-or-Treating, this event will add more stops for the Trick-or-Treaters and included more families who may not get Trick-or-Treaters at their home. There will also be a contest for the best decorated vehicle. Make it a family affair and have fun with it!
>> Register your vehicle for one of up to 15 parking spots in the Town Hall parking lot for $10.
>> Registration starts Friday, September 30, 2016 at the Old Engine House (NB Recreation Office)
>> You can park, set- up and start decorating at 4:45pm (must be parked by 5:30pm). Judging is at 5:45pm and Trick-or-Treat is at 6:00-8:00 pm. Winners will be announced about 6:00 pm
>> You must clean up your parking spot and vacate it by 9:00pm.
>> Your vehicle must be legally registered and non-commercial. No trailers. One vehicle per spot.
>> Your decorations need to be family appropriate; no gore, vulgar or excessively scary themes.
>> You need to bring all your own supplies including candy/treats to hand out to Trick-or-Treaters. The New Boston Recreation or Town of New Boston will not provide power, lighting, extension cords…
The New Boston Recreation will open the Town Hall Concession Shed a.k.a Creepy Café from 4:45 – 7:30 pm with a menu of hot dogs, chips and drinks. This is an optional stop and the prices are reasonable. Hot Dog $1.50, bag of chips $0.50 and beverages $1.00 (bottled water, soda, & hot drinks)
Visit the Old Engine House (New Boston Recreation office) from 6:00-8:00 pm for Trick-or-Treating treats
As always the New Boston Recreation and Whipple Free Library welcome donations of candy/treats. The village area of New Boston receive a high volume of Trick-or-Treaters and your donation helps to defray their expense. We distribute your donations to the residents in the village area.
